Call for Entries: "Louisiana Stories"

The theme of our upcoming exhibit at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library is stories about Louisiana or just about anything related to the State; authors from Louisiana, songs and music, movies, history, folktales, customs, and family lore and traditions; anything that tells a Louisiana story.

This is a broad theme, enabling artists to exercise their creativity, with a lot of leeway in their interpretations.

The inaugural exhibit will be June 1-30, 2021 at the East Baton Rouge Parish main branch at 7711 Goodwood Blvd. in Baton Rouge. This exhibit is intended to travel to other libraries and other possible venues around Louisiana.

The required format is  10"x12" or 9"x 12", including borders and frame; portrait orientation, and mounted rigidly on foam board or cardboard. Also, include hangers or dowel so that your piece  can be hung directly onto a wall for future exhibits.

Drop off and pick up will be at the home of Jessica Kemm. Contact her at 985-520-2163 (phone or text) or for details or questions. Drop off is Sunday, May 23; pick up Saturday, July 3, or later, depending on whether the exhibit travels to other locations.
